 The SAHBA Job Site is a simple, inexpensive online directory that solely and specifically connects the hairdressing, barbering, beauty, and allied support services to Industry employers seeking new staff in their businesses in South Australia.

  Employers can lodge their Recruitment Advertisement by entering all relevant information and job descriptions on a template via www.sahba.com.au/jobsite which is accessible 24/7. The recruitment advertisement will be uploaded to the site during SAHBA office hours and will be posted for the amount of time requested, unless notified by the employee to remove the listing prior to the expiration date.

Employees may search SAHBA Job Site 24/7 and connect directly to potential employers as specified by the employer.

The SAHBA Job Site is available to the public and searchable via www.sahba.com.au/jobsite

The SAHBA Job Site platform is created and maintained by the Hair & Beauty Industry Association of South Australia Incorporated (‘SAHBA’) ABN: 52 377 809 093. 

A listing on the SAHBA Job Site is optional and open to hairdressing, barbering, beauty industry and allied support services, whether they are members of SAHBA or not. Positions advertised for a qualified hairdressing or barbering, should be in line with the South Australia Hairdressers Act 1988 (Act), and also comply with the criteria of a skilled, and trade qualified hairdresser or barber as set out from time to time by SAHBA, the peak body for the South Australian hair and beauty industry.

SAHBA holds the right to approve or reject any application for an advertisement and/or any submitted material.

The purpose of the SAHBA Job Site is to provide a searchable reference to locate positions vacant in South Australia for the hair & beauty industry. SAHBA holds no responsibility or involvement or recommendation, for interviewing, selection, hiring or firing of staff. Communication between the employer and potential employee will be direct, with no involvement from SAHBA.

Please note your listing on the SAHBA Job Site should be made in consideration of any anti-competition clause you may be currently bound by. SAHBA takes no responsibility for any such breaches caused by your recruitment listing on the SAHBA Job Site platform.

The SAHBA Job Site is strictly for South Australian businesses only.

2 Privacy

At SAHBA we respect your privacy. We respect the rights of our Job Site users to decide if, when and how their personal information is used.

Our commitment to privacy is based on a pledge that any information given is kept safely and securely, using the latest technology and to accepted industry standards.

Your use of this website is deemed to be acceptance of these privacy policies. If you disagree with the policies set out above, and in more detail below, you should not use this website when your information may be requested. The SAHBA Job Site is designed to connect employers with potential employees. Much of the content of this site is given freely and can be viewed anonymously.

Any information we collect not related to the SAHBA Job Site service will never be sold, given or shared with any third party. It will only be used to:

  • verify your identity when accessing any secure areas of this site;
  • allow us to provide tailored services, such as eNewsletters and industry updates;
  • allow us to better understand the needs of the SAHBA Job Site users

Whilst we at SAHBA are committed to protecting your privacy, the nature of the web and the technology it uses is not 100% secure. Emails and secure areas can be accessed or ‘hacked’ by those with the necessary skills.

We do, however, through our suppliers, use encryption technology and firewalls are used to protect the information we hold as securely as is possible. As and when technology improves, we will make use of newer and more secure methods of encryption and protection.

We will strive to give you every opportunity to update and access the information we hold.

Where possible, we will give you online access to change and update your details yourself. Where not possible, it may be necessary to contact us directly at SAHBA.

We will never knowingly send you unsolicited emails (known commonly as ‘SPAM’) when you have not requested them. When signing up for our e-newsletters, you will be given the option of agreeing to us sending you related information about any or all of the products or services we offer. Checking this option means you agree to us sending you emails from time to time, of a marketing or informational kind. Leaving the option unchecked means we will not include you in any promotional offers or emails. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information we hold about you is secure, accurate and up to date.

Please email us if you have any further questions or concerns about your privacy, and our conduct online. You can make a complaint to us in writing about how we have handled your personal information. We will respond to the complaint within 30 days.

3 Information We Collect

We collect personal information from you, including the following information:

  • Your First and Last Name
  • Your Business Name
  • Your Business Email
  • Your Business Phone Number
  • Your Business logo

It is generally our policy not to disclose information to external organisations. However, examples of the types of organisations we may need to disclose information to in the course of providing a product or service are:

  • a person outside SAHBA who is contracted by us to provide a service on our behalf.
  • Government Departments such as Consumer Business Services

Some examples of the kinds of organisations with which we contract are:

  • Stripe payment facilities as connected to the website;
  • printers for marketing material;
  • information technology service providers; and
  • accountants, lawyers and other service providers.

External contracted parties are not authorised to use personal information for anything other than the purpose for which we supplied that information to them.

SAHBA cannot take responsibility for the privacy policies, conduct or quality of third-party websites linked to from this site. Where possible, the content and availability of any sites we have linked to have been checked and read. However, you should check the privacy policies of any third-party site before disclosing any personal information.

4 Access to Your Information

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be amended if required. 5 Recruitment Job Information

By applying to be listed on the SAHBA Job Site platform, you agree to the following information being collected and published on the SAHBA Job Site platform:

  • Your Business Name
  • Your Business Email
  • Your Business Phone Number
  • Business Logo
  • Any information provided by you for the job listing such as job description, applicant requirements, pay information etc

Supporting documentation provided as part of your application will not be published and are for SAHBA’s vetting process only.

6 Eligibility

Having a listing on the SAHBA Job Site platform is voluntary and is only available to the hairdressing, barbering, beauty and allied trade services. All businesses must comply to Australian and state government regulations

Listings will not be posted on the site without SAHBA receiving full payment.

Precluded Applicants

The following are some examples of Businesses not eligible to apply for Recruitment listing on the SAHBA Job Site:

  • Business without any link or direct connection to the hairdressing, barbering, beauty and allied services industry

7 Creating a Listing

Approval and Acceptance

Any job listing request submitted to SAHBA will be processed by SAHBA. Upon acceptance of the final proof reading, the job listing will be posted for the period selected.

Once the job listing request has been submitted to and approved by SAHBA, SAHBA will not accept any responsibility for any mistakes on a posted advertisement. However, you are able to contact SAHBA at info@sahba.com.au if you identify have identified a mistake and it can be amended.

SAHBA holds the final right to approve or reject any applicant for an advertisement and/or any submitted material to be published and /or posted on the SAHBA website.

 Declaration Statement

By completing the application form and signing the Declaration Statement, you acknowledge that you are the applicant and that all information contained in the application is true and correct and supporting documents are a true copy of the original and have not been falsified in anyway. Making a false declaration may attract criminal penalty.

8 Fees and Payments

SAHBA is the peak body for the hair and beauty industry in South Australia. SAHBA is a not for profit association for the betterment of the industry, so advertising fees have been set at a minimal level. All fees are exclusive of GST.

o          SAHBA Member – 4 WEEKS ($50)

o          SAHBA Member – 8 WEEKS ($90 – Save $10)

o          SAHBA Member – 12 WEEKS ($130 – Save $20)

o          Non-member – 4 WEEKS ($80)

o          Non-member – 8 WEEKS ($150 – Save $10)

o          Non-member – 12 WEEKS ($220 – Save $20)

All advertisements will be posted for the period selected unless advised to remove. Please note: no refunds are issued for advertisements that are not posted for the full period selected.

Advertisements can be posted for longer periods of time, but extra charges will be incurred.

Fees are payable via Credit and Debit Cards through the Stripe payment gateway. Stripe is a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. Please note all payments exclude GST. Please see the Stripe conditions at www.stripe.com for further information about their Privacy policies.

Listings will not be posted on the site without SAHBA receiving full payment.

You will be updated via email on the progress of your application.

9 Processing time

Please allow up to 3 days for processing applications. The SAHBA office is closed Friday-Sunday so no processing of applications will take place during this time. SAHBA has the right to approve or deny your application for the SAHBA Job Site under these Terms and Conditions. If your application is denied, a SAHBA representative will contact you to discuss the reasons for such a decision. A tax receipt will be issued by SAHBA for payment of the advertisement. Conversely, a refund will be issued by SAHBA if an advertisement is denied.

SAHBA holds the right to change SAHBA Job Site fees at any time but suitable notice will be provided.

10 Application Cancellations

An application for a job listing on the SAHBA Job Site can be cancelled within 24 hours of submission by contacting SAHBA.

11 Approval and Acceptance

Approved applicants will be notified with an acceptance email.

12 Refunds

 If a listing is withdrawn by the applicant before the end of the current 4-week period, no refund will be granted. However, if the applicant withdraws the listing prior to the beginning of the 4-week selected period(s) a refund will be granted for the remaining prepaid period. This withdrawal must be done via email sent to info@sahba.com.au. This email must be sent before the end of the current 4-week period in order to receive the refund for the upcoming 4-week period (if applicable).

No refunds will be grated for a listing that has commenced in any 4-week period.

13 Updating your SAHBA Job Site Listing

Changes to your advertisement once it has been posted will incur an administration fee of $10.00.

14 Ask a general question

SAHBA reserves the right to change the service provided on the SAHBA Job Site platform.

15 Intellectual Property

Users of the SAHBA Job Site must acknowledge that SAHBA is the owner of the SAHBA Job Site Intellectual Property (“The IP”) and must acknowledge any changes or improvements to the SAHBA Job-Link Intellectual Property.

Users of the SAHBA Job Site do not have the right to use The IP unless otherwise specified herein under the agreement.

If your listing is removed, you will be contacted by SAHBA to discuss the reason for the removal. A removal may be temporary, and a listing can be relisted if the issue that caused the listing to be removed is resolved.

16 Termination/Cancellation

SAHBA may terminate your listing if any contentious issue has not been resolved to SAHBA’s satisfaction. If your listing on the SAHBA Job Site service is terminated, you must remove all branding and any promotional materials from your website. You will not receive a refund if your listing is terminated or cancelled.

17 Governing law and jurisdiction

The SAHBA Job Site Website will be governed by and construed in accordance with all applicable laws.

The Hair & Beauty Industry Association of South Australia Incorporated (SAHBA) endeavours to present only accurate and reliable information and any errors are unintentional. SAHBA, its officers, directors, employees, and agents disclaim all warranties, expressed or implied, in connection with the website and your use thereof and accepts no liability for damages of any kind for the use of this site. SAHBA does not warrant that the use of this site will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that the site’s server is virus or bug free. SAHBA accepts no responsibility for the content of any linked or external sites.

Use of the SAHBA Job Site also requires that you are aware of and understand the Stripe privacy and conditions, which are viewable at any time using www.stripe.com

Your information will not be used for any purpose other than the SAHBA Job Site purposes as we are required or instructed to do so under law.

SAHBA holds no responsibility if the website is unavailable to you due to server downtime, malfunction or other events outside the control of SAHBA.

SAHBA accepts no liability for services provided by those who are listed on the SAHBA Job Site platform.

The use of the SAHBA Job Site constitutes an agreement to the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. SAHBA holds the right to alter these Terms and Conditions at any time.

If any section or provision within these Terms and Conditions or its application nor any party, person, corporation, association or circumstances is or becomes invalid, void, voidable or otherwise unenforceable for any reason whatsoever then:

  • That section or provision is severed from the Terms and Conditions or its application must be read down so as not to apply;
  • The remainder of the Terms and Conditions or the application of the Terms and Conditions to any other party, person, corporation, association, or circumstance shall not be affected.

18 Content

Use of published information on the SAHBA Job Site is for professional communication only. The use of published information for unsolicited commercial and promotional purposes is a direct breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Information on this website is subject to external links and ads. SAHBA is not responsible for the availability of, or any content or material contained in, or obtained through, any such websites. Any link to another website, and reference to third-party information, products or services linked to this website, is not, and should not be construed as, an express or implied endorsement by SAHBA. Any questions or comments relating to such other websites should be addressed to the operator or operators of those websites.

Use of SAHBA or the SAHBA Job Site trademarks, branding or business names must not be used without express written permission of SAHBA unless use of the trademarks falls within the permissions listed below. Trademarks or logos from third party organisations are proprietary to the registered owner of such marks.

SAHBA grants permission for the following use of the SAHBA Job Site content:
